  • Heidelberg pH Test — $895
Dr. Erdman is a recognized expert in administering and interpreting the Heidelberg pH test, a gold-standard assessment of stomach acid function. This service includes:

    • Administration of the Heidelberg capsule test in-office.

    • Comprehensive case review and interpretation of your results.

    • A clear explanation of what your results mean for your health.

    • Results forwarded to your ordering practitioner for continuity of care.

This test provides objective data on your stomach’s acid production, helping guide precise, targeted treatment strategies.

  • Restech pH Testing
Restech testing is a minimally invasive in-office procedure designed to evaluate reflux that often goes undetected with standard studies. Unlike traditional probes, Restech measures pH in the airway and throat, making it especially useful for identifying:

    • Silent reflux (laryngopharyngeal reflux, or LPR)

    • Non-acidic and bile reflux on occasion

    • Reflux patterns missed by conventional acid tests

    24-Hour Study — $595
Provides a full day’s assessment of reflux events, capturing patterns during meals, activity, and sleep.

    48-Hour Study — $700
Extends monitoring to two days, offering deeper insight into variable or intermittent reflux patterns.

Results are reviewed and explained in detail, giving you and your provider a clearer understanding of reflux as a contributor to your symptoms.

  • SIBO Breath Test — $300
Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) is a common cause of bloating, gas, abdominal pain, and altered bowel habits. The breath test is a non-invasive at-home kit that measures hydrogen and methane gas levels after drinking a sugar solution. These gases reveal whether bacteria are fermenting in the small intestine where they don’t belong.

    Your test includes:

    • Step-by-step instructions for completing the kit at home.

    • Laboratory analysis of hydrogen and methane levels.

    • A full review of your results with Dr. Erdman, including their implications for your symptoms and treatment plan.

This test helps determine if SIBO is contributing to your digestive issues and guides targeted strategies to restore gut balance.

  • Anorectal Manometry — $700
Anorectal manometry is an in-office test performed personally by Dr. Erdman to evaluate how the rectum and anal sphincter are functioning. It is an important study for patients with chronic constipation, incomplete evacuation, or fecal incontinence.

    This procedure measures:

    • Muscle strength and coordination of the anal sphincter.

    • Rectal sensation and reflexes.

    • How effectively the rectum and anus work together during bowel movements.

By conducting the test himself, Dr. Erdman ensures accuracy, comfort, and a clear explanation of what the results mean for you. The findings provide valuable insight into pelvic floor function and help determine whether dysfunction in this area is contributing to bowel symptoms—so that treatment can move from chasing symptoms to addressing the true cause.

  • Biofeedback Therapy — $350 per Session
Biofeedback therapy is a specialized, in-office treatment performed by Dr. Erdman to retrain abnormal anorectal muscle patterns and improve bowel function. It is most often recommended after anorectal manometry identifies problems such as:

    • Dyssynergic defecation (when the muscles don’t relax or coordinate properly during a bowel movement)

    • Abnormal anal sphincter strength or function

    • Sensory issues of the rectum, such as reduced sensation or oversensitivity

Other conditions that may benefit from biofeedback include chronic constipation, fecal incontinence, and functional pelvic floor disorders that have not responded to standard approaches.

Using visual and sensory feedback, patients learn how to normalize pelvic floor muscle function, improve rectal sensation, and restore more natural bowel patterns. Dr. Erdman guides each session personally, tailoring the therapy to your specific findings and goals.

  • EsoGuard is a non-invasive test that screens for early changes in the esophagus linked to conditions like Barrett’s esophagus and esophageal cancer risk. Using a simple swallowable sponge capsule, the test collects cells from the esophageal lining for DNA analysis. It provides valuable information without the need for sedation or an endoscopy, making it a practical tool for patients with chronic reflux, heartburn, or other risk factors.

  • CapsoCam is a swallowable capsule camera that provides a detailed, 360° view of the small intestine—the area most difficult to reach with standard scopes. The capsule captures thousands of high-resolution images as it travels naturally through the digestive tract, allowing detection of inflammation, bleeding, polyps, or other abnormalities.

Unlike traditional endoscopy, CapsoCam requires no sedation or hospital visit. After the capsule passes, it is retrieved and analyzed, giving your physician valuable insight into conditions that may otherwise remain undetected.

  • The RED test is a simple, in-office procedure that evaluates how effectively the rectum and pelvic floor muscles can expel stool. It is often performed alongside anorectal manometry to assess for dyssynergic defecation, pelvic floor dysfunction, or other causes of chronic constipation.

During the test, a small balloon-like device is placed in the rectum and the patient is asked to expel it, simulating a normal bowel movement. The ability or difficulty in doing so provides valuable information about coordination, strength, and function of the defecation process.

This quick test, performed by Dr. Erdman, helps guide treatment decisions such as biofeedback therapy or other targeted interventions to restore healthy bowel function.

  • The Galleri test is a simple blood test that can screen for a signal shared by more than 50 different types of cancer—many of which are not typically checked for with standard screenings. By analyzing DNA fragments in the blood, Galleri can help identify cancer at an earlier stage, when treatment is most effective.

This test is intended as a complement to, not a replacement for, recommended screenings such as colonoscopy or mammogram. It is particularly valuable for patients with risk factors, a family history of cancer, or those seeking a proactive approach to their long-term health.

  • Carotid Intima-Media Thickness (IMT) testing is a non-invasive ultrasound that measures the thickness of the inner lining of your carotid arteries. This simple, painless test provides an early look at arterial health and can detect subtle changes long before blockages or cardiovascular events occur.

    Carotid IMT is useful for:

    • Assessing cardiovascular risk beyond standard cholesterol or blood pressure checks

    • Identifying early signs of atherosclerosis

    • Guiding preventive strategies to protect heart and brain health

The test is quick, safe, and performed in-office, giving valuable insight into your vascular health and long-term risk profile.
